For more specs check the gear section. 01.04.2010 This month we will have our debut show with my new experimental trio "The Count". We are supporting the Dutch Jazz sensation the Ploctones in Fenix, Sittard the 16th of april. The Count is: Stijn Friederichs on Sax and EWI, Virgil Rerimassie on Chapman Stick and Bass and Roy Moonen on Drums. 18.03.2010 This Saturday, March 20, KENDO BAHN ORCHESTRA will play live at Intro / In Situ foundation, Maastricht. The songs they have written are really great and with the drumsound we made today will blow your mind. 09.02.2010 I have decided to leave Born From Pain. I had a great time with these guys making music and touring all over the world. But now it is time for me to move on and broaden my horizon. I am taking a break from heavy music to do different musical things. More news about that soon. 27.01.2010 Today I did a photoshoot with Ruben Reehorst. Go and have a listen at their Myspace site: myspace.com/viberider 10.11.2009 Today I had a good time at the "Zildjian Artist Day" organised by Hoshino Benelux which was held at the Rockacademy, Tilburg. It was nice meeting the people at Zildjian and a lot of great drummers from the Benelux. There are some really great cymbals coming up in early 2010. 30.10.2009 Just got my new TAMA Starphonic Brass snare drum. This snare drum sounds AMAZING! And looks great as well. If you got the change check it out. It's a very versatile snare drum and got some really great new features. You can find more info about my setup at the "gear" section. 07.10.2009 Just got back home from our US / Canada tour. I had a great time overseas. Thanks to the guys in Forfeit for their support during these 2 weeks. 18.08.2009 In September Born From Pain finally return to the US! We'll be doing a 2 week stretch with Reaper Records' FORFEIT all along the East Coast. The Toronto show will mark our first appearance in Canada ever. Check out the "shows" section for all tourdates. 09.08.2009 KENDO BAHN ORCHESTRA Named after the illustrious inventor of the detector for metal fatigue on long stretches of iron-composite, the Kendo Bahn Orchestra was founded. Coming from different backgrounds, the two members of the Kendo Bahn Orchestra excel in combining the sheer speed of metal, the limitlessness of free floating improvisations and a vast selection of electronic and digital processed sounds. The Kendo Bahn Orchestra is a shared project where an emerging drummer, already played at a range of international stages in different bands, meet an electro-experimentalist, profiling internationally in sonic arts. A language in sound and composition is being invented live in front of the audience, but always is energetic, dynamic and a bit frantic. Perhaps not the best answer to counter the everyday stress of an e-industrialized and globalized life, maybe even more chaos is added, but for sure the Kendo Bahn Orchestra will supply you a maximum surplus of dysfunctional energy. Tama is the first brand I started out with, so I'm very happy to endorse them. Zildjian and Evans I'm equally happy to be working with because I've respected these brands for a long time. From personal experience I know all of these brands to sound great and that they are road worthy and durable. 07.01.2009 Today we recorded the drums for a coversong from a german band called "Slime" for their upcoming tribute cd at the NRG recording studio in Viersen.
